Route 208 Fare Information for travel between DE and MDDART First State Route 208 passengers boarding OC buses with either a same day dated DART First State Emergency Transfer or same day dated DART First State Day Pass will be allowed to ride that day on all trips within Ocean City buses for no additional charge. Ocean City Bus Rider Boarding DART First State Route 208 bus Passengers with a same day dated Ocean City Day Pass would be allowed to ride one 1-way trip on the Route 208 bus at no additional charge. DART First State will recognize the above 1-way trip with the Ocean City Day Pass being shown in Ocean City to the Route 208 driver as being equivalent to the DART First State cash value ($1) for this trip. Therefore, Ocean City passengers with the above pass can purchase a DART First State Day pass for an additional $1.10 (the difference in the price of the DART First State Day Pass [$2.10] and the above cash value). Any customer boarding a DART First State bus in Delaware can only pay or use the DART First State fares. The Ocean City Pass does not have any value when boarding a DART First State bus outside of Ocean City within the State of Delaware. Park & Ride FreeIf you'd like to avoid the traffic hassles and parking headaches in Delaware's resort areas, use DART First State's Park & Ride Lot located on Shuttle Rd. off of Delaware Rt. 1., north of Rehoboth Avenue.Park for $7.00 and everyone in your car receives a free unlimited ride daily bus pass. All buses are air conditioned and equipped with wheelchair lifts. Ride in comfort on DART First State buses to the outlets, the boardwalk and beaches, even into Dewey Beach, Lewes or Ocean City, MD. With bus stops conveniently located throughout the resort area, you won't need to worry about where to park or how to get from one place to another. Family Day at the Beach BargainTwo Adults with two children (46 inches or less in height) ride round trip to the Beach on Route 305 Beach Connection for less than $20...only $18.90!Attention Employers!DART First State continues to offer a discounted employee parking program during the summer for employees that use the Rehoboth Park & Ride on Shuttle Road. Employees are eligible, through their employer, to receive a substantially discounted parking rate of $3 by displaying a hangtag on their rear view mirror. Hangtags are available for pick up by employers at the Park & Ride office weekdays, 8 am to 5 pm. Please bring a business card or other form of ID. Call 302.226.2001 a day in advance to have tags ready when you arrive (Important when requesting 25 or more). If an employer is located and licensed in the City of Rehoboth Beach, parking can be free. Call the City Manager's Office at 227.4641 for details.Bikes on BusesAll buses are equipped with bike racks that can carry 2 bikes. Your bike rides for FREE! Passengers are responsible for loading and unloading their bikes at your own risk.ConnectionsOcean City MD - Coastal Connection - Route 208 TransfersPassengers will be issued a DART First State Emergency Transfer when getting off the Route 208 in Ocean City. The Emergency Transfer is proof of payment, and is good for free rides on the local Ocean City bus for that day only. A valid Ocean City Bus Pass can be used from Ocean City only to ride the Route 208 for one trip at no additional change. The Ocean City Bus Pass bearer can also purchase, only at the Ocean City bus stop, a DART First State Daily pass for $1.10 for unlimited riding on that day with within Sussex County, DE. Passengers can us their DART First State Daily Pass to board the ferry's bus at the Park & Ride lot. The ferry's bus will take passengers directly to the Cape May Lewes Ferry Terminal, where riders can board the ferry as foot passengers to Cape May, NJ for an additional charge. Daily Pass and the DARTCardAs always, the best value for riding the bus is to purchase a Daily Pass. The cost of the daily pass is $2.10. The Daily Pass allows customers to ride any bus route in Sussex County all day long. Customers who are in the resort area can take advantage of DART First State's DARTCard. This discounted stored value card (used just like cash) can be purchased at DART First State sales outlets, or online, and is available in seven different denominations. For an even greater discount, the DARTCard can be used to purchase a Daily Pass on the bus!
