DART Offers Free Rides to Veterans in Recognition of Veterans Day
On Monday, November 12, DART is offering free rides to Veterans on all Statewide bus services, in observance of Veterans Day. Veterans in uniform or displaying a Veteran's ID card (this would also cover spouses) can ride for free on both DART Fixed Route and Paratransit bus services all day. Also note that if spouses or partners of veterans do not have an ID card, they can provide some other type of verification in order to receive free transportation.
"Our veterans have given so much to protect our country, and the best way DART could give back is provide our veterans free transportation. Families of veterans also make that sacrifice to support their loved ones, so we are extending this service to the spouses and partners of veterans as well," said DTC CEO John Sisson.
DART thanks our Veterans for their service!
