DART is happy to introduce and invite our customers and website visitors Onboard for a 'Virtual Bus Tour' of DART buses.
Wide angle images will guide you around the inside of the bus, where you can then click on icons that highlight convenient features through the use of video, pictures, sound, and written descriptions.
In the future, you will be able to tour different vehicles operated by DART; and if you've never ridden the bus you can learn just about all you need to know to ride transit.
Let DART do the driving during your next visit to our website by taking a Virtual Bus Tour.

The Wilmington Train Station was renovated and dedicated as the Joseph R. Biden, Jr. Railroad Station on March 19th 2011.
This panorama shows the renovated station and provides some informative links for travelers, as well as some historical information. It also features the dedication ceremony that was held on March 19th.
The train station is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
Fixed Route Bus (Hybrid)
As DART continues to upgrade vehicles, the hybrid-electric buses have proven to
help reduce fuel costs, and produce less harmful exhaust emissions.
It is estimated that the hybrid electric buses can increase fuel economy by as
much as 60%, reduce particulates, hydrocarbon and carbon emissions by up to 90%,
as well as releasing 60% fewer oxides of nitrogen than older diesel vehicles.
DART's hybrid electric buses operate in an electric mode at speeds up to 25 mph.
The diesel engine will then provide power solely or in combination with the
electric motor as needed.
