Statewide Fixed Route Fares

All fixed-route buses (except for Routes 32 - Wilmington Trolley, 45, 62, 63, 64, 301, 303 and 305). Rt. 45 spans 2 zones in New Castle County; fare is rate per zone. Routes 32 - Wilmington Trolley, 62, 63 and 64 have a special cash fare of $1.00. See Intercounty fares for Routes 301, 303 and 305.

Valid SEPTA Weekly and Monthly TrailPasses are acceptable as fares on all DART bus trips within Northern New Castle County.

*  Cash fares must be paid with exact change using coins and $1.00 bills only. Drivers do not carry change. Daily Passes must be purchased on the bus and can be paid with cash or by using a DARTCard and are valid for unlimited rides on local buses. Please request a Daily Pass from driver BEFORE paying fare.

A Daily Pass is not transferable to another person.

**  Reduced Fare - Medicare Card or DART First State Reduced Fare ID card is required for payment of Reduced Fares or use of prepaid Reduced Fare DARTCard. Reduced Fares are for people who are age 65 & over, or who have a certified disability. Get the application below:

Transfer Points

Transfers will not be issued. The best value is a Daily Pass if you ride more than two buses per day. Even greater discounts can be realized when you use a DARTCard to purchase a daily pass. A Daily Pass is not transferable to another person.

Paratransit Fares

All trips are $3.00 one way each county (Example Sussex to NCC $9.00)

Methods of Payment, due at time of boarding the bus

  • Cash:You must have the exact change. Operators are unable to make change.
  • Strip Tickets: Strips contain 10 tickets. Each ticket has a value of $1.00 (Strip Tickets are available for purchase at any DART office, some ticket outlets or on-line at www.dartfirststate.com )
  • Agency Tickets: Some agencies purchase tickets and provide them to their clients for trips. You may contact the agency you are affiliated with to determine if you are eligible to receive tickets. Customers who do not use cash, strip tickets or agency tickets will not be permitted to ride.
