DART First State hit the commercial airways in a big and special way on March 23, 2002 with the debut of its public service radio show on Wilmington-based radio station WILM-AM, now in its 5th year. Thanks to WILM-AM, DART First State, each Saturday morning at around 8:40 AM, is on the air with its "Getting There Starts Here" transit talk show. Each week talk centers on the benefits of riding transit, attractions and stops along "The Route of the Week", and rider emails.

WILM-AM 1450 is a news and talk radio station that consistently rates as one of the top radio stations in Delaware for listenership. We're pleased that WILM has given DART First State this opportunity to get its public service message out to Delawareans. Heard each week, it will not only help the public to know about DART First State services, it will also hopefully educate and drive home to the public that public transit is an important part of a livable Delaware.
