DART Beach Bus Service



Park & Ride

If you'd like to avoid the traffic hassles and parking headaches in Delaware's beach areas, DART First State offers two conveniently located Park & Ride Lots. The Rehoboth Park & Ride is on Shuttle Rd. off of Delaware Rt. 1, north of Rehoboth Avenue and the Lewes Transit Center is located just south of Five Points on Delaware Route 1.

The Rehoboth Park & Ride is located at 20055 Shuttle Road and Lewes Transit Center is located at 17616 Coastal Hwy. Parking is free at both locations, bus fare paid upon boarding; the cost to ride the bus is a $2 per trip, $4 for a Daily pass, $16 for a 7-Consecutive Day pass or $60 for a 30- Consecutive Day pass.

All buses are air conditioned and equipped with wheelchair lifts. Ride in comfort to the outlets, the boardwalk and beaches, even into Dewey Beach, Lewes, Long Neck, Millsboro or Ocean City, MD on DART's Beach Bus services. With bus stops conveniently located throughout the beach area, you won't need to worry about where to park or how to get from one place to another.

With the free DART Transit app, riders can plan their trip, view bus stops, get real-time bus information, and see where the bus is along its route. And, for faster boarding and convenience, riders can pay their fare from their phone with DART Pass mobile payment.

Family Day at the Beach Bargain

Two Adults with two children (46 inches or less in height) ride round trip to the Beach on the 305 Beach Connection (Magenta Line) for only $20 with a 3-Zone Daily Pass!

Connections

Cape May-Lewes Ferry Connection to Cape May, NJ

DART's Beach Bus 204 Yellow Line will stop at the Ferry Terminal every 30 minutes from 6:30 AM to 9:00 PM.

The Ferry's bus will provide service to the Lewes Transit Center, where passengers can connect with DART's Beach Bus for service to the Outlets, Rehoboth Boardwalk, Long Neck, Millsboro and south to Ocean City, MD for an additional charge.

Fares

The one-way cash fare is $2, Student fare is $1, Reduced fare is $ .80 for people who are 65 and older or have a certified disability; Blind (with DVI photo ID) ride free. The best value for riding the bus is to purchase a pass. The cost of the Daily Pass is $4. For even greater savings, the 7- Consecutive Day Pass is only $16, or a 30- Consecutive Day Pass for $60. A 20-Ride ticket is also available for $26 (DART Pass app only).

305 Beach Connection (Magenta Line)

Bus Stops

The 305 Beach Connection, operating on weekends and holidays, serves the Wilmington Transit Center, Christiana Mall, Odessa Park & Ride in Middletown, Scarborough Road Park & Ride lot in Dover, Lewes Transit Center, just south of the Five Points and the Rehoboth Park & Ride lot on Shuttle Road. The one-way cash fares are $6 from the Wilmington Transit Center, Christiana Mall and Odessa Park & Ride (Middletown), and $4 from Dover. Riders traveling from New Castle County are encouraged to buy a 3-Zone Daily Pass for $10 and from Kent County a 2-Zone Daily Pass for $8, which can also be used on all Beach Bus Services.
